PROSE & POETRY
We regret that literary submissions are on hiatus for the 2021-22 academic year. Please check back next year!
We are searching for thought-provoking poems, works of fiction, and works of creative nonfiction by Clark students, staff, and alumni that resonate with us as readers and as writers. Introduce us to characters that delight or terrify us. Stray from clichés and stereotypical imagery. Capture what is real, both emotionally and physically.
Fan fiction, erotica, and plays will not be accepted. Excerpts or chapters from novels will be considered, but must be able to function as standalone stories. Works that deal with mature and complex issues or themes are welcomed, but works that address these inappropriately will be declined. Please do not resubmit works that have been previously considered for Phoenix.

VISUAL ART, VIDEO & MUSIC
Submissions will be accepted through January 17th, 2022 for the 2022 print edition. Why wait until the last minute? Send your great work in now!
All visual art must be submitted online. Be sure to follow our submission guidelines below to ensure there are no problems with your entry. Please limit your submissions to four per category.
We ask that submissions are recent, original work that have not been previously submitted to Phoenix or appeared in another publication. Artwork submissions should not be fan art or derivative of another artist's work. Any form of master study or appropriated work must be noted in the title or statement. Each submission is required to have a thoughtful artist statement and title. “Untitled” will not be accepted as title for submissions.
