Music

Sketch of a Barren Landscape

I am an aspiring composer working toward an Associates's degree in music. Many of my works are in the styles of the impressionists of the early twentieth century as well as other composers of the twentieth-century. In the future, I hope to professionally write music for full symphonies as well as for a variety of other ensembles.

Unworthy by Christina Arnautov

This song is very dear to my heart because it defines the mentality with which I strive to live my life. Being a Christian, I take no credit whatsoever for the gifts God has given me. Music is something He gave me a passion for and my goal is to praise Him with it. I am unworthy of any praise because God deserves it all. This song serves as a tribute to the Creator and recognizes His ultimate sovereignty and worthiness of all glory and praise.

Sixty Years by Garret Mann

This is a song I wrote entitled Sixty Years. This song was written based on a relationship that I was in. At a low point in the relationship, the house was more of a jail cell for us both. We grew distant from each other, and communication was almost non existent. The chorus is a list of questions I asked myself that I never asked her.

Do you really want to be this?

Are you happy here?

Are you gonna be quiet, the next sixty years?

To the one I still dream of, and the relationship I ruined:

it wasn't your fault, it was ours.
